Maraj Advisory Group was founded to bridge the gap between commercial development expertise and the growing demand for well-structured, deliverable projects — across housing, data centres, and infrastructure.
Founded on the belief that expert advisory should be accessible, rigorous, and results-driven, Maraj Advisory Group has built a reputation for delivering practical, commercially-grounded counsel to clients navigating Australia's most demanding development markets.
Our work spans data centre and infrastructure development, social and affordable housing, Specialist Disability Accommodation, and mainstream residential development — always with an emphasis on evidence, transparency, and genuine client partnership.
We understand that development carries real consequences — for communities, for investors, and for the people who depend on what gets built. That understanding shapes how we think, how we advise, and the standard of work we hold ourselves to on every engagement.
We provide honest, independent advice — even when it is not what a client wants to hear. Our reputation is built on trust.
Every recommendation is underpinned by thorough analysis, sound financial modelling, and a deep understanding of market conditions.
We work as genuine partners to our clients, aligning our effort and expertise with their long-term objectives and success.
We are motivated by outcomes — enabling communities, powering the digital economy, and creating enduring social and economic value through development.
Founder & Principal Advisor
Moe Abdo brings a rare and genuinely distinctive combination of expertise to the development advisory space — one that spans commercial banking, registered building, and hands-on project delivery across residential, social, specialist disability housing, and infrastructure.
Moe holds a degree in Business and Commerce, a Diploma of Building and Construction, and is a registered builder in Victoria — credentials that underpin an advisory practice built on real-world understanding of how developments are financed, designed, costed, and delivered. He is a proud member of the Housing Industry Association (HIA).
Before founding Maraj Advisory Group, Moe spent over 13 years in commercial banking, structuring and providing development finance to property developers across a broad range of project types and scales. That experience — sitting on the other side of the lending desk — gives him an unusually clear understanding of how financiers assess development risk, structure facilities, and make credit decisions. It is an insight that directly benefits every client Maraj Advisory Group advises on financing strategy.
Prior to establishing the firm, Moe was personally engaged by a state government housing authority to independently assess more than 50 proposals submitted by Community Housing Associations as part of a regional funding round in excess of $200 million — evaluating project deliverability, construction viability, and the financial structures underpinning each submission.
Across a career spanning construction, banking, and advisory, Moe has worked across every sector the firm serves — residential and commercial construction, social and affordable housing, SDA and NDIS housing, community housing, government, and, most recently, data centre and infrastructure development.
Underpinning our advisory work is a personal track record of over 30 completed projects — from single dwellings through to 10-acre land subdivisions — giving our clients the confidence that our advice is grounded in real construction and delivery experience, not just theory.
Maraj Advisory Group works with a trusted network of specialist consultants — building surveyors, planners, engineers, and delivery professionals — assembled to match the specific requirements of each engagement. Clients get the right expertise for their project.
